Leighton House Museum (April 2012)

A beautifully sunny Spring day in London.

We walked the backstreets of West London to the recently restored Leighton House Museum.

Blown away by the Arab Hall. And the Mashrabiya (the Egyptian latticework window in the Silk Room).

The whole house is pretty stunning actually. The different styles which shouldn’t work together but which, somehow, do. The nooks and crannies. The colours. The textures. The light in the studio.

A gem.

And considering yesterday was a Bank Holiday, it wasn’t too busy. We almost had the place to ourselves.

Lunch at Comptoir Libanais. So tasty. I love that place.

A great day out.

Not cute. Not cute at all.
